The New Bizarro Author Series

The NBAS is designed to “test the waters” for new authors.  Basically, if you are accepted your work will be published on a trial basis.

We are only interested in authors who write bizarro fiction. If you’re not interested in labeling your work bizarro fiction or interested in having a long career as a bizarro fiction author, then do not apply. We are also looking for authors who are willing to get involved in the bizarro fiction community, become active at Bizarro Central, help promote bizarro fiction and other bizarro authors, and attend BizarroCon almost every year.

What we will do is publish your book. After that, it’s up to you to show us that you have what it takes to make it, as well as become a member of the Eraserhead family. You will have to learn how to promote and market yourself and your writing. It will be difficult and fun. We want you to impress us, both with your selling skills and your attitude. We want to see how you fit in our world, and we want to know how we work with one another.

We would like you to attend BizarroCon this November in Portland, Oregon. Eraserhead is a family. We prefer to know the people we work with as best we can, and that means spending some face-to-face time over coffee, tea, beer or whatever your pleasure, somewhere delightful. You can find information at BizarroCon.

If you have a completed manuscript between 15,000 and 30,000 words that you think would be a good fit for the NBAS, please send it in. Queries are accepted. You may contact Kevin L. Donihe:, Spike Marlowe: or Bradley Sands: with submissions, queries, and questions.
